Since 2005 | Shigs In Pit BBQ Fort Wayne Restaurant Catering

Mad Anthony owners, Todd Grantham and Jeff Neels along with their friend Stefan Kelley, a networks services manager for Logikos, partnered to form Shigs In Pit Competition BBQ Team. Our team competed in nationally sanctioned BBQ events throughout the Midwest.

In 2012, Owners Jeff Neels, Todd Grantham and Blaine Stuckey transformed the Shigs In Pit BBQ Competition Team into a brick and mortar restaurant in downtown Fort Wayne. The success of that restaurant and being voted best BBQ in Indiana allowed the group to open two new Shigs In Pit restaurants in Fort Wayne.

We Were Hooked!

In 2005, Kelley and Grantham, entered a local rib contest and won top honors. We took our winnings and friend Jeff Neels to our first Kansas City BBQ Society sanctioned contest in Madison, IN where we received a 6th place in chicken.

In a few short years the team has amassed Eleven Kansas City Barbecue Society Grand Championships, Five Reserve Grand Championships and won numerous awards for our smoked meats. We have been invited to cook in some of the most prestigious events in the country including the American Royal in Kansas City, MO, and The Jack Daniel’s World Invitational in Lynchburg, TN.

As we continue to travel and compete around the country, the owners are bringing their championship style BBQ to the Mad Anthony catering menu.

Our goal is to provide the finest ingredients and quality service at a fair price. We have positioned ourselves to offer a wide variety of smoked meats and outstanding side dishes.
